Memcached in Shared Hosting
You can take advantage of the Memcached object caching system with all shared hosting offered by us. It’s available as an optional upgrade, which you can obtain with just a few mouse clicks from your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. It requires an extension, which is pre-installed on our cloud hosting platform, so you can begin using the Memcached caching system as soon as you add it. The upgrade is divided into two parts, which will give you more flexibility depending on the websites that you would like to use it for. The first one indicates the number of the websites that will use the Memcached caching system, or the ‘instances’, while the second one is related to the memory, in other words – to how much content Memcached will be able to cache. You can get more memory in increments of 16 MB and the more memory you have ordered, the more content will be cached, which may be a pretty good idea for traffic-heavy websites with very large databases and plenty of users. Thus, you can improve the performance of any script-powered Internet site hosted on our cloud servers without any efforts.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
In case you choose to host your sites in a semi-dedicated server account, you can take advantage of Memcached with ease, since the distributed memory caching platform’s activation takes several clicks from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The extension that is required is already installed on our semi-dedicated servers, so you can start using the Memcached caching platform as soon as you add it to your account. You’ll be able to select how many Internet sites can use it and how much information can be cached, i.e. there’re two separate features that can be upgraded – the number of instances and the memory. You can get more of both, so if one of your Internet sites becomes extremely popular, for example, you can always order more memory. Our system is quite flexible in this regard and we do not bind a particular number of instances to a fixed amount of system memory. You can use Memcached to increase the loading speed of any script-driven site, including those that are based on famous web applications, such as WordPress or Joomla™.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached is available as standard with all VPS servers that are ordered with our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel. The extension it requires to function properly is compiled when the VPS server is set up, so you can start using the content caching platform the moment your brand-new server is completely functional. The system memory that the Memcached platform can use depends on the particular plan, but even with the less powerful plans, several hundred megabytes will be at your disposal only for this platform. This will permit you to accelerate the overall performance of multiple websites hosted on the server at the same time and to lower the load on the machine even if you run traffic-intensive script-powered portals with plenty of visitors. The Memcached platform can be used with any script – Mambo, Joomla™ or Drupal™, or a custom-developed one, and you’ll distinguish the faster performance shortly after you start using it.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
When you obtain any of our dedicated servers and if you pick Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel during the signup process, you will get the Memcached distributed memory object caching platform by default and you can activate it for each site that you host on the server without installing or upgrading anything. It will begin caching information as people access your site, so you will see the effects of using it shortly thereafter. The minimum amount of memory that will be available to the caching platform is 3 GB and naturally, the more powerful the dedicate server plan, the more system memory Memcached will have at its disposal. This amount will allow you to use the platform for multiple sites or for a very busy site without compromising its efficiency. The Memcached caching platform will enable you to accelerate the load speed of any database-driven site very quickly – a Joomla™ portal, a WordPress personal weblog, an OpenCart web shop, etcetera, and to boost the overall performance of your server.
