Each domain which is registered and hosted has quite a lot of DNS records - some of them are set up automatically when you host a domain, others can be set up manually if necessary. As an illustration, the A record of a domain address is its IP address i.e. this record shows where the website is situated; the MX records reveal where the e-mails are handled, while through an SRV record you can use a domain name for unconventional purposes, like a Voice-over-IP service. The ability to set up and modify certain records allows you to have different services with different companies if, for example, your present host provides good web hosting, but has issues with the email service, or you simply prefer to get a certain service from a particular company. Though you must be able to create and modify these records freely and with no limitations as you own a given domain name, many companies charge extra to give you this option.

Full DNS Management in Shared Hosting

You will have complete control of the DNS records of your domain addresses and subdomains with each of our shared hosting. Using the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, you're going to be able to access an easy-to-use tool where you can see all existing records or create new ones with no more than a few clicks. Aside from the standard A and MX records, you can create CNAME, TXT, SRV, and you can even set up private name servers for any domain address that's registered through our company. The custom records will offer you a lot of overall flexibility and will permit you to do things like hosting a subdomain on our servers while the main domain is hosted somewhere else or the other way around, using a third-party e-mail service, etc. We'll never ask for any fees from you to be able to manage the DNS records of your domain names and the service comes by default with all shared plans.

Full DNS Management in Semi-dedicated Servers

You'll have complete control of the DNS records of your domain addresses and subdomains if you get any one of our semi-dedicated server plans. The accounts are managed through our custom Hepsia Control Panel and one of its features is a sophisticated, albeit very easy to use section where you can see, create or modify any type of record - A, MX, CNAME, NS, AAAA, TXT and SRV. There's no fee for that and you're going to have total freedom in terms of managing your domain addresses and selecting the best service for them. As an example, with simply a few clicks you can set up each of the domains inside your account to have its web site handled by one provider and its e-mails by another, or you can use a domain address as a host name for a VOIP server, which runs on an independent machine. You may also set up and use private name servers so as to give your domains more credibility in case that somebody checks them.
