A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox easily in case you’ve got a shared hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet surprisingly simple to work with, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you will see a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it for a second time will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have another mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be configured with a few mouse clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated server with us. The semi-dedicated account will be administered via our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes under any domain name registered there. To activate the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you will have to click the button with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Deactivating this option can be accomplished in the same way and will not require more than one click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a particular domain name, you’ll get a warning message. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or change anything automatically.
